Resolution Number 1:

Establish a network of knowlegable anglers.

What I mean by this is develop relationships with anglers who you can share information with. When asked,  "What has changed fishing the most in the last decade"? My answer is the cell phone. Now adays, we have the constant ability to communicate with our peers, receiving up to the minute information, instead of trying to figure things out entirely by trial and error.

Some tournamnet anglers have gone to buddy system in tournament competetion. I seen it when fishing the MWC in 2005. Two to four teams would network and fish as a team upping their odds. I've participated in this as well. We won the Pelican Lake Ice Fishing Tournament in 2005 by fishing as  a group. Our "network" communicated, worked together and covered four times as much water. Having a network has saved many of fishing trips for me and others, and it will for you too.

TV show hosts rely on netorks too. I've received calls from In Fisherman and others to get the show on a hot bite. When I hosted Outdoor Insight, I did the same. Its almost impossible to stay ontop of fish all the time. When you share that responsibility with your network of fellow anglers, all invloved will benefit.

Tight lines.

Capt. Jason
